The Neighborhood Environmental Report (NER) is a quick and easy way to check for environmental issues that might be on a property or in the surrounding area and may indicate a cause for concern. We can provide the report in conjunction with our other services, such as a real estate or mold inspection, or on its own.
With the NER our inspector looks for a property’s proximity to things like:
- Leaking underground storage tanks
- Landfills
- Hazardous waste sites
- "Superfund" sites
- Department of Defense Sites
- "Meth Labs"
Running a report on a property is simple and can help you make more informed decisions about the home you are considering. In the majority of cases it will not find any significant issues that would keep you from purchasing the home. What it will do is help you be aware of the condition of the property and its surroundings and leave you secure in knowing that your investment and your family are protected.
